Love and the Phonograph

Cynthia's Phonograph - "decidely a success"

This story appeared in the monthly phonograph trade magazine The Phonoscope in March 1899. Because Cynthia had the "charming idea" to use the Phonograph for talking with each other when she and her fiancé, Claud, were apart Cynthia learns the truth about Claud. And her conclusion is of course a strong endorsement for owning a Phonograph when she says: "The Phonograph has been decidely a success. Nothing on the debit side at all."
