Edison Home - Model B

The Edison Home Phonograph Model B on display was introduced in November 1905, played 2-minute records using a Model C reproducer, was antique oak and came with a 14 in. horn, all for $30. In October 1907 a new polygonal horn was made available for the HOME (11 panels, straight and 32 in. length, black with gilt decoration).

Flowered horns like the red morning-glory horn on display could be purchased from other dealers since Edison didn't offer flowers on any of his horns. The HOME, complete with new horn and crane, was $35. The HOME in the picture below has the Automatic Reproducer and Edison Recorder accessories. This Model B has the simple "Edison" decal instead of the "Edison Home Phonograph" banner on earlier Model A and B HOME Phonographs. The last model HOME, the Model F, was introduced in October 1912. In October 1913 production of the HOME was discontinued in order to concentrate on enclosed horn phonographs.
