Edison Standard Model A

 

The 1901 Edison Standard was equipped with an oak 'New Style' cabinet with a rounded cover. The case carried the full EDISON STANDARD PHONOGRAPH banner on the front. The model below has the hearing tube which came with the STANDARD Outfit No. 29 which also included 12 selected Edison cylinders, 1 speaking tube, 3 shaved blanks, 1 15-record box, 1 bottle phonograph oil and 1 jeweller's screwdriver, all for $29.
