Popeye Phonographs featured the cartoon character Popeye the Sailor Man, created by Elzie Crisler Segar and first appearing on January 17, 1929, in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre. Following Segar's death in 1938, Thimble Theatre (later renamed Popeye) was continued by several writers and artists, most notably Segar's assistant Bud Sagendorf. (Wikipedia)
This gallery features Popeye phonographs with graphics from the Bud Sagendorf era, and some period phonograph records.
